THE GALLERY
Created in 2000, the gallery Patrick Gutknecht is located in the hearth of the old town of Geneva.
The gallery is dedicated to the 20th century decorative arts, created by the most emblematic decorators of that period, as well as photography and antique canes from the 16th century to the 1930s. It also presents chosen creations by contemporary artists in dialog with original signed and numbered photographs in limited edition. Each year the gallery organizes exhibitions on a specific theme or dedicated to an artist, and also participates to prestigious art fairs like artgenève. Patrick Gutknecht is especially passionate by the pieces of the Art Deco period and by those of the 1940s and defends the work the the most important creators of that period such as Jacques Adnet, on whom he wrote a book in 2010, Desny, Jean Dunand, Marc du Plantier, Jean-Michel Frank, Serge Roche or Alberto and Diego Giacometti.
