Pommeau ivoire sculpté personnage

Ivory figure

Cane with ivory handle representing a 17th century nobleman holding a wicker-clad Dame-jeanne riding a fantastic animal. He is framed by two half-human, half-fish figures. Some see it as a representation of lust.
Work from Flanders, mid 17th century.
