Emmanuelle Michaux is a Franco-Swiss artist who lives and works in Geneva and Paris. Specialist in experimental cinema and moving images, screenwriter and director, but also visual artist, the matrix of all of her work finds its source in a personal and universal history : old amateur films that her father collects. Through her work, she gives a new status to these everyday situations : sometimes wonderful, often ambiguous, everytimes spriritual. She questions the place of man in the world and this constant desire to capture the world by the image. The result is a large body of videos, installations, photographic and textual objects from which emanate great poetry and fragile emotion.
